Primarily working within a dedicated small team developing a cutting-edge Image/Video Library used by several NATO coalition countries. Responsible for the full-life cycle of software releases in an Agile environment.

Including communicating with stakeholders to gather requirements; designing solutions using OOAD and UML; developing software; maintaining automated test suites and writing documentation; deployment and configuration on target hardware; and providing excellent support to on-site engineers.

Meeting company and customer quality standards within urgent deadlines on multiple occasions was a challenge. With this experience I have full appreciation for OOAD and TDD techniques, and how they improve productivity. I am highly motivated and have been involved in improving several business processes.

Technical Skills & experiences include:

1. Working within a team developing a multi-threaded Server with a CORBA interface written using Java EE.
2. I led an international collaborative project providing a RESTful & SOAP Web Services interface to the server.
3. Experience with Hibernate and Spring connecting to a Postgres RDBMS.
4. Experience with OpenMap and geospatial data libraries & the development of algorithms to improve performance.
5. Used ANTLR and grammars for creating a domain-specific query language to an international standard.
6. Developed a Windows and Linux based client application written in Java using Swing libraries.
7. Developed a deployable middle-ware software framework API. Designed using OOAD principles. Written in Java using a Test Driven Development methodology.
8. Daily use of the open-source Eclipse IDE and IBM ClearCase configuration control and management.
9. Developed software for in-house hardware using pair-programming, written using C# on WindowsCE and embedded-C for an ARM processor.
10. Worked extensively with XSD/XSLT and XML and worked on several C++ projects using BOOST libraries.
